Lottery Community Fund Grant

The Biddulph Moor Village Hall Committee is delighted to announce that we have been successful in applying to the National Lottery for a grant for the refurbishment of Biddulph Moor Village Hall. The Lottery Community Fund has awarded a grant of just under £52,000 to enable us to carry out the following refurbishments:

Replacement of the ceiling in the main hall

  • Upgrade to the lighting throughout the building
  • Replacement of the flooring in the main hall, bar & buffet areas
  • Replacement of the internal and external doors
  • Full redecoration throughout the building
  • Replacement of the old portacabin with 2 external storage containers

Due to our current hire commitments, we have decided to schedule the works in the first quarter of 2022. As some of the works are extensive, the building will be rendered unusable at certain times so will not be available for hire and will be closed to the regular hirer groups who use the hall week in and week out. We apologise in advance for the disruption this will cause but we are sure that all the users of the hall will be very impressed with the improvements which will result from this project.

Our aim as the Committee is to continue to develop and improve the Village Hall to provide an excellent, practical and attractive facility for the use of the Community we serve, and we are very pleased to have secured the funds to implement such a significant upgrade.

Further information about the timing of the project will be publicised once the works schedule is finalised.
